SOCAN held a reception for members in Los Angeles on April 19, 2007, at the Canadian Consul General’s official residence from 6 - 8:30 p.m.

The event, co-hosted by Consul General of Canada Mr. Alain Dudoit, and his wife, Michéle, was held at their beautiful home, the official residence. Although there was a threat of thunderstorms, the evening remained cloud-free and the mood was festive.

The reception proved to be a valuable opportunity for SOCAN staff to meet personally with members and important industry people based in Los Angeles. In addition to SOCAN members, guests also included various music supervisors, agents, artist managers and lawyers

SOCAN members in attendance included Robert Ott and Sean Mulligan of Canadian music publisher ole, Fred Mollin, Stacey Hersh, John McCarthy, Patric Caird, Lily Frost, Tim Feehan, Leeroy Stagger, Jason Frederick, Carole Pope, Fred Curci, Marco Luciani, Lawrence Shragge and Dave Pierce.

SOCAN representatives in attendance were CEO Andre LeBel, president Pierre-Daniel Rheault, executives Jeff King and Kent Sturgeon, as well as Lynn Ross, Bob Hunka, Vicki Walters, Paul Stillo and Jolene Keats.
